Senior Afghan government delegation participated at the conference of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development

Participation of Senior Afghan government delegation under the chairmanship of Respected Mr. Abdullah Abdullah Executive Director of the National Unity Government, at the OECD Conference, under the title of "European-Asian Cooperation and Development" in Paris, France.
On this trip, Respected Dr. Abdullah Abdullah was accompanied by, Minister of Economy Mustafa Mastour, Mr. Zuhoruddin Shirzada Deputy Minister for Private Sector and Industries Development of Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Head of the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Ajmal Ahmadi, Senior Advisor to the President for Banking and Financial affairs, and other governmental officials were also attended.
Respected Dr. Abdullah Abdullah Speaking at the conference on the priority of private sector development and economic advancement, said Afghanistan has made significant changes to the rules in order to strengthen and develop the private sector. The country's executive director also added that the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development could further strengthen Afghanistan's cooperation in the field of economic development, strengthening the private sector and entrepreneurship policy.
At this conference, Mr. Zuhoruddin Shirzada DM for Private Sector and Industries Development of Ministry of Industry and Commerce with reference to the draft Strategy for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, said that the draft strategy focused on access to small and medium-sized loans, formalizing the economy, and digitizing the economy, and with the cooperation of its member countries, new steps will be taken in Afghanistan's economic growth.
Mr. Shirzada at the margins of this conference had meetings with the head of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development of Europe (OECD), the Head of the Turkish Gaskip organization, the High-level officials of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the High Representatives of the Republic of Georgia, and discussed bilateral economic cooperation in the field of small and medium enterprises development between Afghanistan and these countries.
