His Excellency president of Afghanistan once again emphasized on expanding the transit and trade cooperation’s between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.

Muhammad Ashraf Ghani president of Afghanistan on Tuesday met with the Uzbekistani delegation at the presidential palace. This meeting with the chairmanship of visiting foreign minister of Uzbekistan Mr. Abdul Aziz Kamilov, with the presence of honored Cabinet members held at the presidential palace of Afghanistan. His Excellency president of Afghanistan once again emphasized on expanding the transit and trade cooperation’s between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan and said; Afghanistan and Uzbekistan countries are transit routes of each other and both sides must use this opportunity. At this meeting Respected Humayoon Rasaw minister of commerce and industries was also present, he assured president of Afghanistan that technical team of ministry of commerce has finalized the drafted of transit and trade memorandum with the Uzbekistan and is waiting for the other side’s views. Mr. Rasaw minister of commerce added, all the facilities for connecting Afghanistan through Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan, China, Russia, Europe and meanwhile connecting Uzbekistan through Afghanistan to South Asia is considered in this memorandum. President of Afghanistan assigned ministry of commerce to finalize this drafted memorandum to bring more facilities for the exporters. 
On the other hand, Respected Humayoon Rasaw minister of commerce in a separate meeting with the Shaukat Tolgunov DM for ministry of commerce and transit of Uzbekistan discussed regarding different issues mainly on expanding trade ties between two countries and finalizing the draft of trade and transit memorandum of Afghanistan- Uzbekistan. 
During this meeting both sides have emphasized on a separate mechanism and creating a technical team of professionals of both countries for finalizing the trade and transit draft agreement of Afghanistan-Uzbekistan.
