Ms. Kamila Sidiqi is a prominenteconomic activist in Afghanistan who has worked in leadership roles in various sectors. Currently, she is the Deputy Minister for Commerce at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in June 2017. From 2014-2017 she was the Deputy Chief of Staff for Admin and Finance in the Administrative Office of President. For the past several years, she has beenactively engaged in promoting gender issues, private sector development, transparency and anti-corruption in Afghanistan.Prior to joining the government, Ms. Sidiqi was a successful entrepreneur and was one the first businesswomen of Afghanistan. During her work in the private sector, she made ground breaking achievements in various fields and received recognition across the globe for her endeavors in male dominated sectors.
In February 2017, Ms. Sidiqi represented Afghanistan as a key speaker in the AFPAK Partnership Summit: Workable Solutions in a New Era which was held in Mali.In 2015, Ms. Sidiqi was a keynote speaker at The Economist Magazine’s World in 2016 event in Hong Kong and Singapore. The year 2014 saw Ms. Kamila as a speaker at the Power of Empowered Women Event organized by the United Nations in Geneva. She was a speaker at Regional Policy Dialogue on Central Asia's Regional Challenges organized in Turkey by the Hollings Center and has represented Afghanistan's women entrepreneurs in several B2B conferences organized in India, Tajikistan. She was also a founding member of the Steering Committee of the South Asia Women Entrepreneurs Symposium (SAWES). 
The Dressmaker of KhairKhana which is a book on the life and achievements of Ms. Sidiqi has received international acclaim and recognition and was a New York Times Best Seller in 2012. It was a part of the Common Reading Program at University of Florida for the class of 2016. 
Ms. Kamila has been recognized as a Peace Hero in Afghanistan in 2014 by Modern Organization for Education and Development. She was also part of The International Alliance of Women World of Difference awardees in 2014.
Biography of Assistant Professor Feroz Khan Masjidi
Respected Assistant Professor Feroz Khan Masjidi born on 1983, He has completed his elementary education at the School of Hazrat Ali Ghorband, Parwan Province, and secondary education at Kabul Amani high school. 
Respected, after taking Kankor Entrance examination he entered the Faculty of Economics of Kabul University and completed his undergraduate degree in national economics successfully. 
After graduation, he was selected as Economics subject Instructor at Kabul University and from 2009 till now he is teaching Economics and business subjects in this faculty. 
Assistant Professor Feroz Khan Masjidi with a view of obtaining more studies, went to the United States of America through getting a scholarship of Fulbright and successfully got his Master’s degree in the field of Economics at the Oklahoma state university, and right now he is candidate for the PhD degree through Fulbright Program. He also holds a Diploma in Sustainable Rural Development from Haidar Abad University in India.
Respected Assistant Professor Feroz Khan Masjidi, In addition to teaching at Kabul University, he has served in various governmental and nongovernmental institutions, including international development agencies, for more than eight years. He as the head of the Sustainable Rural Development Project at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Advisor to the cluster Department of Infrastructure Development at the Ministry of Finance, responsible for the poverty analysis department at the ministry of Economy,  Afghanistan national development strategy expert and report writer at the ministry of Economy, Specialist for Information Management System and Proposals Development at the Harakat Organization, researcher at the National Center for Policy Studies at Kabul University, and recently served as the head of the strategy, policy and plan directorate of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries.
He has also been honorary co-operation with a number of governmental and non-governmental organizations, including the following jobs: head of the Fulbright Association of Afghanistan, a member of the Founding Group of the Afghan Economists, member of the AIESEC in Afghanistan, and member of the Transparency International Founding Group in Afghanistan. Respected Masjidi, has also attended a number of prestigious national and international conferences and seminars, and has written articles and numerous research papers about the Economy and business of Afghanistan and regional countries and is published in national and international journals. 
Respected Assistant Professor Feroz Khan Masjidi based on the recommendation letter number of 141 dated 25, Sept, 2017 of ministry of commerce and industries and decree number of 153 dated 28, Sept, 2017 of president of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is appointed as the Deputy Minister for the private sector development and industrial affairs of ministry of commerce and industries.
