Investment Increment in Marble Sector in Nangarhar Province

Sixteen Marble Plants are operating in Shaikh Misri Industrial Park in Nangarhar, and more than $ 50 million is invested in this sector.
These Plants produce 30.000 tons of marble in a year, and have provided jobs for more than 500 people.
These plants provide their raw materials from domestic mines, and meanwhile supplying their products inside the country, exports to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan and Italy.
Officials of these plants stated, with the coming of peace, we are ready to increase our investment level in this sector and create more jobs for people.
Afghanistan has plenty of marble mines, and investment increment in this sector has its particular position for MoIC.
MoIC, with tariffs exemption in the raw material and machinery, has facilitated the room for industry development in the country.
