Deputy Prime Minister of the Czech Republic: Afghanistan can be regional of World Trade Center

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Transport of the Czech Republic, Karl Hawley, who is hosting the Afghanistan-Czech-Slovak Trade-Investment Forum, said, Afghanistan has good investment opportunities and called on Czech and Slovak investors to invest in the industry, agriculture, and mining sectors of that country.
During his speech, Mr. Hawley pledged continued economic, industrial, trade, and investment cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
Referring to the strategic and geographical position of Afghanistan in the region, the Minister of Trade and Transport of the Czech Republic said, Afghanistan has good economic opportunities due to the bridge between Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East, and this gives it more potential to be a regional hub for global trade.
The Czech Deputy Prime Minister added we support Afghanistan-Czech-Slovak Trade-Investment Forum, besides, we maintain the strengthening of trade-investment cooperation with Afghanistan and that the country has abundant natural resources which provide good investment opportunities for Czech and Slovak investors.
During the second day of the Afghanistan-Czech-Slovak Business-Investment Forum meeting, investors from the two European republics expressed interest in investing in Afghanistan's industrial, mining, and agricultural sectors.
Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, Minister of Industry and Commerce, is heading a government-private sector delegation from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Prague to explore trade investment opportunities and increase Afghanistan's exports to the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
