Emphasis on regulating the loading of high-tonnage vehicles with regional standards

A Joint meeting of the Ministries of Industry and Commerce, Public Welfare, Transport and Chambers of Trade and Investment of Afghanistan, Chamber of Trade and Investment of Balkh, Herat Chamber of Trade and Investment and Andkhoi Chamber of Trade and Investment, representatives of transport companies to implement the decree No. (3706) date November 29, 2020 of President of the Islamic Republic Afghanistan was held at the conference hall of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

The online meeting chaired by H.E Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani Minister of Industry and Commerce. H.E Ghoryani stated: The explicit guidance of His Excellency the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is to hold a joint meeting on the regulation of loading high-tonnage vehicles and the procedure for loading and stopping wagons at the railway stations of the country, and review the said regulation and procedure, consult on the proposals of the private sector.

Moreover, Mr. Ghoryani added, the new regulation on loading high-tonnage vehicles should be regulated in consultation with the Chamber of Trade and Investment and representatives of transport companies with regional loading criteria to improve the trade situation and prevent the destruction of the country's roads.

Concluding, it was decided that a joint technical committee of the Ministries and other above mentioned organizations and transport companies will be formed to review the regulation of loading and organizing the load and stopping the wagons at the railway stations.
