Activities and achievements of the government in the last four years in the field of freedom of expression:
1. Afghanistan ascents four places on the Press Freedom Index and ranks 118th out of 180 countries.
2. Fourth place in the Press Freedom Index rankings among the 13 South Asian and Central Asian countries
3. Enact new information access law
4. Enforce copyright law
5. Adopting the regulation on the establishment and operation of Private Mass-media
6. Reduce 90% of the cost of private media registration
7. Establishing a monitoring commission on access to information
8. Develop a national information access strategy
9. Increase the level of accountability of government spokespersons by holding coordination meetings
10. Local radio exemptions from taxation
11. Formulation and implementation of strategic communication guidelines and government information plan for 1398 year
12. Started broadcasting national television broadcasts in English, Urdu, Russian and Arabic languages and increase the volume of radio broadcasts to 2306 percent and television broadcasts to 3 percent.
13. Issuing a Presidential Decree for properly informing the media and government officials and institutions
14. Expansion of national television broadcasts in the Border Provinces
15. Holding two large gathering of provincial and central reporters in Arg Palace

19. Developing a Journalists' Protection Procedure

21. Establishment of journalist support fund and Afghanistan’s president 5 Million Afghanis personal pay and 10 Million Afghanis from government budget
22. Remission of past tax penalties for print and audio media, news agencies and publication corporations and extend their licenses.
23. Ensure the rights of journalists by enforcing the rules of procedure for the establishment and operation of the private media
24. Issue of presidential decree to ensure security of reporters with the help of government agencies cooperate with journalists and pursue cases of murder and violence against journalists
25. Establishment of coordination centers for the security and safety of journalists by the Ministry of Interior
26. Conducting journalist problems sessions chaired by the Second Vice President
27. Developing a code of conduct for Journalists and its inclusion in the security forces training program
