Meeting of Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce with Herat Industrialists

Honored Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani Acting MInister of Industry and Commerce met with Mr. Hamidullah Khadem Head of Chamber of Industries and Mines and industrialists of Herat at the conference hall of this ministry and discussed investment opportunities and major problems of Herat industrial parks.

At this meeting, Mr. Hamidullah Khadem greeted the appointment of Mr. Ghoryani as Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce and expressed his concerns about Herat industrial parks.

Stating, inexistence of standard Canalization, streets Asphalt, insecurity in all phases of parks, electricity problems for production factories and no surrounding walls around the park.

Moreover, Respected Mr. Sayed Khalil Qatali Deputy of Chamber of Industries and Mines also said; The base price of phase IV of industrial parks of Herat province is another problem of the industrialists, and we expect that, the new leadership of the ministry will pay attention in reducing the price of infrastructure.

Subsequently, Honored Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani expressing gratitude with the contributing of problems, said; the major problems of Herat IP have been identified and will be solved. He added, Work is ongoing to solve the infrastructure problem of the phase IV of Herat IP as soon as possible, and land distribution will begin for industrialists in this phase.

Herat Industrial Park has been established in 2004 at the south of Herat City and currently 300 Industrial – Production Factories are active, Herat industrial park is one of the most important industrial parks in Afghanistan, which have been invested by a large number of investors from various provinces of the country.
