Minister of Industry and Commerce Meets with protesting drivers on Herat-Torghundi route

H.E Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani Minister of Industry and Commerce met with protesting drivers on the Herat-Torghundi route to compensate for the fire at the Islam-Qala customs, which blocked the Herat-Torghundi transit-trade route and shared their demands.

During the meeting, which was also attended by the leadership of the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment, the protesters discussed how to pay compensation to drivers by the government and the reopening of the Herat-Torghundi transit-trade route.

H.E Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani Minister of Industry and Commerce, emphasizing the government's payment of damages to drivers affected by the fire at Islam-Qala customs, called for the reopening of the Herat-Torghundi route.

Mr. Ghoryani added, the government, following the plan, will pay the compensation to fire-affected drivers at Islam Qala port.

Meanwhile, the leadership of the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment, urging the government to pay compensation to the protesting drivers, asked them to reopen the Herat-Torghundi transit and trade route.
