The 6th session of the 4th working group of the Executive Committee on Private Sector Development (PriSEC) was held

The sixth meeting of the fourth working group of the Executive Committee on Private Sector Development (PriSEC) under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce was held with the participation of representatives of government institutions and the private sector, members of this working group in the conference hall of this ministry.
Mr. Mohsen Sadat, DG of Industrial Parks and Industries of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and Ms. Mahnaz Anwari, Director of Financial Development, Trade and Private Sector of the Executive Committee on the Private Sector Development (PriSEC) started the meeting and after reviewing and signing the previous session’s report, the issues on the agenda were discussed.
In this meeting, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce presented the plan and analysis of the recycling sector (battery plates processing sector, battery production, worn tires, and plastics) and discussed issues such as recycling, review, economic analysis of plates processing, and battery production sector, challenges and suggestions of the sector in detail.
The challenges of this sector include shortage of raw materials, lack of domestic market, lack of required electricity, lack of criteria standards and lack of union of the recycling sector, and suggestions to solve these challenges establish a special mechanism for collecting raw materials from government offices, prevent smuggling of waste to neighboring countries, the market for produced products and creation of a union for this sector.
The 4th Working Group of the Executive Committee on Private Sector Development (PriSEC) under the MoIC, works in the fields of trade facilitation and industrial development, and the Ministry of Economy, Chamber of Industries and Mines, National Statistics and Information Authority, Ministry of Finance, Carpet Exports and Production Union, Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, are the members of this working committee.
