Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Meets with Minister of Industry and Commerce of Pakistan

The IEA's Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce honorable Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi along with his accompanying delegation met with the Minister of Industry and Commerce of Islamic Republic of Pakistan honorable Mr. Jam Kamal khan.
During the meeting, with an emphasize on brotherhood and friendship, bilateral interests, and long historical trade ties between the two countries, discussions were held regarding, renewal of APTTA agreement, transit facilitations, counter smuggling goods, exporting Afghanistan's coal to Pakistan, making Torkham port active 24/7, making bilateral trade available via Ghulam khan port, crossing the heavy vehicles between the two countries' territories, bank guarantee as well as creating an inclusive mechanism for administration of the ports between the two countries.
Further in the meeting, some positive suggestions were proposed regarding maintaining trade ties between the two countries, particularly establishing a joint committee by Pakistan, which will have regular sessions on addressing trade issues between Afghanistan and Pakistan. There were also discussions regarding the issue of Afghanistan's refugees.
