Afghanistan and Kazakhstan Discuss Trade, Transit, Transport, Energy, and Mining

Following the bilateral meeting between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan, led by IEA's acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Honorable Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, and the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Mr. Serik Jumangarin, separate meetings between the delegations of both countries were held in various panels.
The delegations, led by the Economic Director of the IEA's Economic Deputy PM office and the Deputy Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, discussed in trade, transit, and transport panel, the development and expansion of trade ties, increasing transit routes between China and Afghanistan through Kazakhstan, facilitating the transportation process, and reducing tariffs on rail transfers.
Additionally, in the energy and mining panel, the delegations led by the Deputy Minister of Mines and Petroleum of Afghanistan and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan discussed Kazakhstan's capacity in mining extraction and processing, the available facilities in Afghanistan, and the potential for joint collaboration.
At the conclusion, the Kazakhstan side expressed readiness to invest in Afghanistan's mining sector, and they have been invited to visit Afghanistan and observe the country's mining opportunities.
