Afghanistan Livestock Value Chain Meeting was held

The Afghanistan Livestock Value Chain Project meeting was held in Kabul with the participation of government and private sector officials and representatives of international organizations.
During this meeting, officials discussed on improving the quality of food, increasing the production of Afghan livestock products, and receiving global quality documents for the country's livestock products.
Mr. Abdul Karim Malikyar, Acting Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce said, 80% of the country's exports are agricultural and livestock products, and we are working on a chain to increase the value of these important products.
Mr. Malikyar added, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation are working together to identify the best agricultural and livestock products in the country, standard packaging and export.
The Livestock Value Chains project, works on the dairy value chain of poultry, honey, red meat, carpets, wool, fluff, sheepskin and fish and markets these products in global markets.
