Arzaaq State-Owned Company Leadership Board Meeting

The Arzaaq State-Owned Company director’s board meeting, chaired by Mr. Mohammad Sulaiman Binshah, Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, was held with the participation of representatives of the Policy and Strategy Department of the Afghanistan Office of President, Ministry of Finance, and Arzaaq State Company.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Binshah said, according to the new law on state-owned companies; Arzaaq Enterprise has become a state-owned company and this company must be renovated. Besides, the AOP, Ministry of Finance, and the MoIC want the Arzaaq state-owned company to return to its main position, which is to provide foodstuff for the government institutions.
Moreover, the meeting also discussed the opportunities and challenges of this company, appointing a director for the company, appointing an interim executive committee, and after the approval of the new organizational structure of 1400 fiscal year, according to the company's new statute, opening a new bank account for the company, business plan and other related matters were exchanged.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, in coordination with other government organizations and the General Directorate of State-Owned Companies of the Ministry of Finance, is in the process of modernizing state-owned enterprises, which have now become state-owned companies.
