BACKGROUND
The Ministry of and Industry Commerce of the Islamic Government of Afghanistan is a pivotal institution vested with the power and responsibility of planning, regulating and accelerating the pace of Afghanistan’s private sector-driven economic development which will result in growth, poverty reduction, increased employment, rural wealth, stability and peace in a post-conflict nation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze budget limitations for preparation of plans and set budget lines for each projects
- Prepare financial reports through conducting analysis of financial data.
- Take lead in managing financial accounting and administrative activities.
- Supports the Finance Director in his day to day job and reports to the Finance director.
- Reporting to finance Directorate and DM admin and finance.
- Focal point with commercial attaches of Ministry.
- In contact with commercial attaches regarding their issues.
- Processing Procurements documents
- Making the entries for all the transactions in the computerized accounting system.
- Making sure that all the transactions are properly recorded, supported and
- Responsible for maintaining proper filing system. This includes sorting, sequencing and making sure that proper supporting documents are attached.
- Ensure that all vouchers and receipts are accurately filed, stamped & recorded in books/ system and perform any other duty assigned by the supervisor
JOB REQUIREMENT:
- University Degree in Economics or Relevant field
- Master Degree is preferred
- Hands on experience in Finance
- Minimum 5 years
- Ability to explain technical details
- Excellent analytical skills
- A good problem-solving attitude
- Hard working and personable character
- Ability to work with others, work to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple concurrent projects/activities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity
- Creativity and innovation
- Excellent verbal and written English skills, fluent in Pashto / Dari
