Holding a joint meeting of the Ministries of Industry and Commerce, Public Health, and the iron and oxygen production sectors

Joint meeting of Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, Minister of Industry and Commerce, Dr. Wahid Majrooh, Acting Minister of Public Health, and representatives of oxygen and iron production sectors to discuss oxygen production and reduce oxygen use in steel and iron plants.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Ghoryani announced the readiness of any cooperation between the Ministry and the private sector with the Ministry of Public Health in combating the third wave of the Coronavirus, emphasizing that oxygen companies should increase their production in such circumstances.

Mr. Ghoryani added, MoIC, in coordination with the sectors producing oxygen, hygiene, and detergents, is working to provide the raw materials needed by these sectors to further produce and meet the needs of the Ministry of Public Health.

At the meeting, Dr. Wahid Majrooh, Acting Minister of Public Health, thanked the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the private sector for their readiness to fight the coronavirus's third wave and called on oxygen companies to increase their production.

Mr. Majrooh also asked the steel mills to announce that in the next few weeks, which is the peak of the third wave of the coronavirus in the country; Reduce the use of oxygen in plants to provide the oxygen needed by hospitals.

At the conclusion, the MoIC leadership and representatives of the oxygen and iron production sectors emphasized joint cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health to fight coronavirus and promised to be ready for any kind of cooperation.
