Inter-Ministerial Coordination Meeting on holding the Second Public-Private Dialogue of Afghanistan-Uzbekistan, preparing a draft of road map for the commitment of the consultative meeting between the two countries under the chairmanship of Ms. Kamila Sidiqi Acting Minister of Ministry of Industry and Commerce was held at the conference hall of this Ministry on Dec,11, 2018
At this meeting, representatives from the senior advisor to the President on Infrastructure, the National Procurement administration, the Ministry of Energy and Water, the Ministry of Finance, Mines and Petroleum, Chamber of Industry and Mines, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of women of Afghanistan, and representatives of other ministries, and other relevant agencies were also present.
The Acting Minister of Ministry of Industry and Commerce at the meeting said; the discussion of the public-private dialogue between Afghanistan and neighboring countries was a major issue that has had positive results so far and has made the country's private sector satisfied with the national unity government.
Ms. Sidiqi also said that positive talks have been held with the countries of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and China, which have been discussed on Transit-trade cooperation and joint Investments.
The meeting discussed regarding the holding of the second public-private dialogue conference of Afghanistan-Uzbekistan and the preparation of a draft road map for the obligations of the advisory meeting between the two countries and the public and private sector preparation of the country to hold a meeting in Kabul.
It is noteworthy that the first public-private dialogue between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan was held after the meeting which was held in this country, and coordination’s on trade-transit, joint investment between the two countries, banking cooperation and other relevant topics were discussed.
The second meeting of the talks hosted by Afghanistan will be held in Kabul in the near future, with the aim of continuing cooperation and expanding trade and transit relations and joint investment between these two countries.
