Minister of Industry and Commerce emphasizes the use of domestic products

Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani Minister of Industry and Commerce, who spoke at the ministry's press conference on the occasion of the beginning of the industry week and support of domestic products at the government media center, asked the citizens of the country to buy domestic products.
Mr. Ghoryani added, the use of domestic products will provide the ground for the growth and development of the country's manufacturing industries and will lead the country to economic development.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce said, 51 production factories will be opened and put into operation in several provinces of the country on the occasion of Industry Week.
Mr. Ghoryani also added, the MoIC will open the domestic products exhibition, displaying 60 items, in which Afghanistan has become self-sufficient.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce, emphasizing the provision of necessary grounds for investment in the country, said, the ministry is ready to distribute land to investors and industrialists in 11 industrial parks.
At the press conference, Mr. Shirbaz Kaminzadah, General Director of the Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines, said, with the continuous support of the President and the provision of the necessary conditions by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the manufacturing industry has become self-sufficient in producing 60 items.
Mr. Kaminzadah added, that the manufacturing industry has grown significantly compared to previous years, and if people use more domestic products, it will grow significantly in the coming years.
At the press conference, Mohammad Sulaiman Binshah, Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce said, according to the Afghanistan National Development Strategy, the MoIC is working on marketing the country's products at home and abroad.
Mr. Binshah added the MoIC focus is on the use of information technology in the development of industry and trade of the country, and this ministry is working on new systems in land distribution in industrial parks, distribution of licenses in the GD of ACBRIP and other sections through online services.
In supporting domestic products and investment, during the Industry Week, MoIC holds domestic products exhibition, opening several production factories in different sectors in Balkh, Kandahar, and Nangarhar provinces, visiting industrial factories in industrial parks, and introducing domestic products to citizens and emphasizing on the utilization of these products.
