Minister of Industry and Commerce meet with the Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Kabul

H.E Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani the Minister of Industry and Commerce met with Mr. Piyal De Silva Ambassador of Sri Lanka in his office, and discussed the expansion of trade and economic cooperation.
The meeting focused on expanding Afghanistan-Pakistan trade and transit cooperation, increasing Afghanistan's trade with South Asian countries and establishing an air corridor between Kabul and Colombo.
Referring to the decent relations and long-standing friendship between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka, Mr. Ghoryani said, the Kabul-Colombo trade relations should be increased and the trade memorandum signed between the two countries should be signed as soon as possible.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce also called on the Sri Lankan Ambassador to encourage their investors to invest in various sectors in Afghanistan.
Referring to the good political relations, Ambassador Di Silva said, his country wants to increase trade relations between the two countries and the Sri Lankan embassy in Kabul will provide the basis for the sale of Afghan products in that country.
At the end of the meeting, both sides described the future of trade relations between the two countries as important and valuable, and promised each other cooperation in increasing trade between the two countries.
