Minister of Industry and Commerce visited a carpet market in Kabul

H.E Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani Minister of Industry and Commerce and Mr. Bashir Ahmad Tahyanj Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, visited a carpet market in Kabul, where home-made hand-woven carpets are sold, and discussed with sellers on how to increase carpet exports.

In this market, different types of home-made carpets which are produced in different provinces of the country, especially in Balkh, Jawzjan and Faryab provinces, are sold.

H.E Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani Minister of Industry and Commerce, visited the carpet market and said, the MoIC has made good plans to increase the carpets export this year.

Mr. Ghoryani MoIC Minister also added, in the near future in Germany and Dubai, a permanent exhibition and store will be established to market the country's carpet sector.

The Afghanistan Business Improvement Working Group, led by the MoIC, is also working on how to address the opportunities and challenges of the carpet industry and how to increase its exports volume around the world.
