Minister of Industry and Commerce Visits Looker Industrial Company in Pul-e-Charkhi Industrial Park

Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, Minister of Industry and Commerce visited Looker Industrial Company, a producer of various types of baby diapers, in Kabul's Pul-e-Charkhi Industrial Park and discussed the opportunities and challenges.

During his visit to the industrial company, the Minister of Industry and Commerce was accompanied by Mr. Shirbaz Kaminzadah, General Director of the Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines, and representatives of the private sector.

Mr. Ghoryani, MoIC Minister said, the purpose of visiting manufacturing plants in the country's industrial parks, is to receive opportunities and challenges of manufacturers and the production capacity of Afghanistan industries and to solve their problems.

Emphasizing the use of domestic products, Mr. Ghoryani said, MoIC, in cooperation with industrialists and government agencies, will increase tariffs on products similar to domestic products to support domestic production.

Looker Industrial Company started its activities in this sector in 2016 and now sells its products throughout Afghanistan.

This industrial company, by supplying the required raw materials from European countries and China, produces baby diapers with international standards and has created jobs for 50 people.
