Participation of the MoIC Minister in the Parliament National Economic Commission Meeting

Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani Minister of Industry and Commerce, attended a meeting of the National Economic Commission of the Parliament and presented information on how the commission works to prevent the production, import and supply of substandard, expired and counterfeit goods and the increase of prices of some foodstuff such as cooking oil.
In this meeting, Mr. Ghoryani said, the mentioned Commission, which operates under the leadership of this ministry; Has conducted regular surveys of the market situation in Kabul and the provinces.
Mr. Ghoryani added, during the commission's visit to Kabul and the provinces, some substandard and expired food and consumer goods were collected from the markets and the owners of wholesale food markets were warned that in case of overselling and hoarding, their licenses would be introduced to judicial departments.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce also said, due to the global increase in oil price in overseas markets, its prices have increased in Afghanistan markets as well.
Emphasizing the cooperation of the members of the Parliament National Economic Commission in inspecting the market situation and preventing hoarding and high prices, Mr. Ghoryani said, the mentioned Commission implements regular visits from the Kabul and provinces markets.
Concluding, the members of the National Economic Commission of the Parliament, appreciated the activities and programs of the MoIC in controlling prices and expressed their support for the Ministry's programs in preventing overselling and hoarding of food and other stuff.
