Preparation of domestic Airlines to transfer Pilgrims to Saudi Arabia

Joint meeting of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs, Ariana Afghan Airlines, KamAir and the private sector chaired by H.E Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani Minister of Industry and Commerce to review the process of transferring pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
At the meeting, Ariana Afghan Airlines and KamAir announced their readiness to transfer pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, saying they would have additional facilities to transport pilgrims to Saudi Arabia in the coming year.
H.E Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani Minister of Industry and Commerce said, the purpose of the meeting was to review the capabilities of domestic airlines in the process of transferring pilgrims to Saudi Arabia and the government's financial support for domestic airlines.
Moreover, Mr. Mohammad Qasem Halimi, Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs, emphasized that the process of transferring pilgrims will be contracted to domestic and private airlines in accordance with the ministry's conditions. Mr. Halimi also added that if domestic airlines do not have the facilities to transfer pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, the ministry will sign a contract with foreign companies to transfer pilgrims.
Under the guidance of His Excellency Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs are chairing the process of transferring pilgrims to Saudi Arabia in coordination with representatives of the private sector.
