The President: The private sector is an important partner of the government and supporting them is a priority for the Afghanistan government

His Excellency Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, representatives of the Afghanistan Chambers Federation, representatives of Chambers of Commerce and Investment, Industries and Mines, Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Agriculture and Livestock, craftsmen and shopkeepers, representatives of various private sectors emphasized their support.
The meeting, which was held at the Presidential Palace, was initially addressed by Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, Minister of Industry and Commerce who said, the ministry, in co-operation with the Ministries of Finance, Economy and Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock and the Private Sector, proposed a joint mechanism to address the current situation of ports, trade, and markets.
Mr. Ghoryani added, this plan covers all the problems and challenges of ports, trade, and markets and how to manage the market in the current situation, and following the guidance of the high presidential official, it will be implemented.
During the meeting, Mr. Khanjan Alokozai, Vice President of the Afghanistan Chambers Federation, spoke on behalf of the private sector about the current problems and challenges facing the private sector.
HE. President Ghani, after listening to their speeches; called the private sector an important partner of the government and said, supporting the private sector is a priority for the Afghanistan government.
The President added, the Central Bank has become fully electronic and is issuing house loans for government employees, besides, the telephone payment system was tested and soon, the salaries will be paid electronically.
His Excellency the President said the MoIC should work together with the private sector to clarify its capabilities.
The President also added, there will be changes in the Ministry of Finance and from now on remittances will be implemented within three hours, and we will also have to work together in the tariff sector to make the tariff more computerized.
At the end of his speech, the President said, I want the market to be strong and a special delegation should work on the market strength to meet the demands.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, in cooperation with the Ministries of Finance, Economy and Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock and the Private Sector, has prepared and arranged a joint mechanism to address the existing problems of ports, trade, and markets
In this mechanism, all the problems of private-sector evasion in the sectors of ports, highways, trade, market, and supply of primary materials needed by the citizens of the country in the current situation are predicted and the ways to solve it are also described.
