The Road Map document for the construction of the Mazar-Kabul-Peshawar Railway was signed.

TASHKENT- Roadmap for the Mazar-Kabul-Peshawar railway in the Uzbek capital Tashkent, attended by H.E Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani Minister of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Mohammad Hanif Atmar, Afghanistan Foreign Minister, Mr. Sardor Umurzakov Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, Mr. Abdul Razak Dawood Senior Advisor for Commerce and Investment of Pakistan Prime Minister signed an economic agreement.
H.E Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani Minister of Industry and Commerce said, the trilateral project between Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan is crucial for expanding trade and transit relations in the region.
Mr. Ghoryani stressed, the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is striving to expand trade-transit routes, railways and air corridors.
On the other side, Mohammad Hanif Atmar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan said, with the construction of this railway, an important step is taken to connect and expand regional cooperation and the common dream of "connecting Central Asia with South Asia countries through Afghanistan" will be realized.
Mr. Mohammad Hanif Atmar Foreign Minister, who co-chaired the conference, said; connecting and communicating not only means using the potential of expanding trade, transit and investment to grow the economy and prosperity, but also means building capacity and strengthening the foundations of cooperation for peace, stability and security in region.
Meanwhile, Mr. Sardor Umurzakov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Abdul Razzaq Dawood, Senior Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan said, the construction of this railway is an important and historic project for economic cooperation and expansion of transit-trade relations for Central and South Asian countries.
