Sr. Networking and System Engineer(Reanouce)

BRIEF SUMMARY

Under the supervision of ICT Directorate, Ministry of Industry & Commerce is looking for a senior network and system engineer to its data center operated at ACBR. This position will work under direct supervision of network and system administrator and will mainly focus on the operational support of ACBR/MoIC Data Center. Will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintenance of functional network infrastructure. Resolving issues that tiers of support have escalated. Mentoring team members and addressing user needs.

Skills Description:

Strong experience of designing, maintaining and troubleshooting of the systems.

Strong communication skills in Pashto, Dari, English.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, deploy and maintain the ACBR/MoIC LANs, MAN, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, virtualization, storage, routers, firewalls, switches, UPSs, and other related hardware.
• Provides technical support to users by troubleshooting problems related to network or datacenter platform performance.
• Documents complex procedures and troubleshooting procedures related to systems/networks software and hardware.
• Provides technical guidance and assistance to other IT network engineers.
• Ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling MoIC objectives and processes.
• Conduct research on software products, network products, services, protocols, and standards to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
• Execute routine changes, provisioning services, and deployments
• Fault isolation, service recovery, and incident analysis.
• Ability to implement network management and monitoring solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, such as switches, routers and wireless, in a multi-routing infrastructure.
• Any other responsibility assigned by the ICT/ACBR directorates, should be performed efficiently
• Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance
• Senior Network & System Engineer is required to provide its activity report to the ICT & ACBR directorates on weekly and monthly basis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunication or equivalent qualification required / Master Degree in relative field (preferred).
• 5 Years of practical work experience in network and system design and maintenance
• Strong experience of designing, maintaining and troubleshooting of the systems.
• Strong communication skills in Pashto, Dari, English.
• Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g HTML and JavaScript)
• CCNA, Linux, MCITP, CCTV, VMware, MCSE-2016. Certification holders have higher priority
