Uzbekistan extends its Trade-Transit and economic cooperation with Afghanistan

An online conference which was held between the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of Republic of Uzbekistan, the embassies and the private sector representatives of the two countries, Uzbek officials called for expanding trade-transit relations and economic cooperation with Afghanistan.

The opportunities, challenges and other related topics as: trade-transit, bilateral investments, concluding trade-transit agreements, banking relations, customs, cooperation within the framework of the activities of the Cargo Center of Termez city and building common markets in borders were discussed.

To liberalize mutual trade, expand and further strengthen economic cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Recently, Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev the President of Uzbekistan, issued a 12-Article decree.
