A Delegation of Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Along with International Organizations Visit Industrial Parks of Barikab

A delegation, headed by deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce honorable Mr. Mawlawi Ahmadullah Zahid, and was comprised of representatives of World Bank and United Nations (UNDP, UNCTAD) as well as the ambassador of China to Afghanistan, director of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), deputy governor of Parwan province, senior advisor for Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and the director of Industry and Commerce of Parwan province, paid a visit to Barikab Industrial Park and factories located in the said park.

This visit aimed at support of country's private sector and to address the fundamental problems including luck of electricity within the mentioned industrial park. The delegation whilst visited the Alghoy site of Parwan province, which is proposed for building a new industrial park.

It is noteworthy, this visit was planed as per the programs of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in consultation with the representatives of international organizations as well as the third session of Doha where efforts have been made towards attracting support for private sector leading to a stable economy. Whereas the only way to a stable economy would be supporting investors in industrial parks. Therefore, it was decided that the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, DABS, the various organizations of international community, and Embassy of China in Kabul, will have joint efforts to support the private sector of Afghanistan.
