Holding a meeting of the negotiating committee for Convening Preferential Trade Agreements

This meeting was held under the chairmanship of H.E Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani Minister of Industry and Commerce with the participation of representatives of the Ministries of Finance, Transport, Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, and the representative of Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines.

H.E Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani during the meeting said, to grow the country's domestic industry and trade with the regional countries and the world, we need to conclude preferential trade agreements and accelerate the process of preparing and arranging these agreements.

Mr. Ghoryani added, the working committee has been established based on the decree of the high presidential official, and its purpose is to accelerate the work process of concluding these agreements.

At this meeting, the representatives of the member institutions of this committee expressed their views and suggestions on several preferential trade agreements and stressed that the process of holding meetings of this committee should be increased.

The main objectives of this committee; Creating a new environment for economic and trade relations, strengthening closer economic participation, improving living standards, developing common economic and trade relations between Afghanistan and other countries in view of Afghanistan as a less developed country, strengthening emerging domestic industries and paying attention to customs revenue vulnerabilities, as per the economic policy of the market.
