Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Meets with Private Sector Members of Pakistan

IEA's Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce honorable Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi along with his accompanying delegation met with senior members of private sector of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The meeting aimed at attracting investments, self-sufficiency of industry sector and creating job opportunities within the country.
During the meeting, honorable Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, stressing enhancement of economic collaborations between the two countries, invited Pakistani traders and industrialists to invest in Afghanistan's various sectors, where they would be entitled to some unique facilities related to importing raw materials and machinery, tariff exemptions, receiving land at low price, as well as government support in agriculture and horticulture sectors.
The seniors of the private sector of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, welcoming the proposal of the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan, indicated their willingness to cooperate with Afghanistan and asked for further facilities related to trade in ports as well as decreasing non-tariff barriers.
