The Second Phase of Kabul Folad Steel Mill, Valued at $18 Million, Inaugurates

The acting Minister of Industry and Commerce honorable Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi During an official visit to Herat province inaugurated the second phase of Kabul Folad Steel Mill, whereas the governor of Herat, honorable Mr. Mawlana Shaikh Islam Jar, government officials, leaders of chambers, factory owners, traders, and investors also attended the event.

The aforementioned factory, valued at $18 million having a daily production capacity of 700 tons of rebar, was inaugurated following the recent approval of Law on Industria Sites by the respected Supreme Leader of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (may Allah save him).

At the event held in Herat's industrial park for this purpose, the acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, the Governor of Herat, the director of the Investment Facilitation Unit of the Administrative Office of Prime Minister, the head of the Chamber of Industries and Mines of Herat, director of development of industrial parks of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and the executive officer of Kabul Folad Steel Mill, each spoke about the progress, challenges, opportunities, and achievements in Afghanistan’s economic sector, particularly the development of industrial parks.
