The 8th round meeting of the Afghanistan-Pakistan Transit and Trade Coordination Authority Committee (APTTCA) began

Islamabad- The 8th round meeting of the APTTCA IS hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and Senior Economic Advisory to the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan with the participate of the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan chaired by Minister of Industry and Commerce Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani in Islamabad.
"In accordance with the principles and criteria of global trade – transit, we have to separate politics and trade, and we want to have a transit route for trade and transit to South Asia and Central Asia at the same time with you," Mr. Ghoryani said.”
Denoting to the transit-trade problems, the MoIC Minister said, "At present we have gathered to solve the problems through (APTTCA), and these problems have been solved to some extent; "But it must finally end so that we can have the opportunity to talk about long-term cooperation."
H.E Ghoryani added, the APTTCA is a beginning for our future cooperation, so that we can use the existing opportunities and establish a strong and better foundation.
The Ministers of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan preceding to this meeting; They met in Islamabad and Kabul, where most of the transit-trade problems have been resolved, and the meeting is expected to resolve the remaining problems.
It is worth mentioning that, the Afghanistan delegation before their visit to Islamabad, had a meeting with H.E President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani. details of the trip and the content of the talks were shared with His Excellency, and was welcomed and supported.
