The Czech Foreign Minister emphasizes investment in Afghanistan

Speaking on the second day of the Afghanistan-Czech Republic-Slovakia Trade-Investment Forum meeting, Czech Foreign Minister Mr. Jakub Kulhánek called on Czech and Slovak investors to invest in Afghanistan's industrial, agricultural and mining sectors.

The first meeting of the Afghanistan-Czech – and Slovakia Republics Trade-Investment Forum was hosted by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade and Transport of the Czech Republic and attended by Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, Minister of Industry and Commerce of the IR of Afghanistan, and his accompanying delegation in Prague, Czech Republic.

Describing the good political-economic relations between Afghanistan and the Czech Republic, the Czech Foreign Minister said, there are good investment opportunities in Afghanistan in the industrial, agricultural and mining sectors, and that Czech and Slovak's investors are interested in investing in these sectors.

On the first day of the meeting, Mr. Ghoryani, MoIC Minister, Mr. Mohammad Haroon Chakhansuri, Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Mr. Ataullah Nasib, Head of the Investment Facilitation Unit of the Afghanistan Office of President and Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, spoke on the investment opportunities in industry, mines and agriculture fields in Afghanistan.

Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, Minister of Industry and Commerce is heading a government-private sector delegation from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to Prague to examine trade investment opportunities and increase Afghanistan's exports to the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The governments of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Czech Republic and Slovakia enjoy good political, economic, and trade relations. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce strives to expand the level of trade, especially the export of the country's products to the mentioned countries.
