Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce and Ambassador of Afghanistan to the World Trade Organization met with the Head of the International Road Transport Union

Mr. Mohammad Sulaiman Bin Shah, Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, and Mr. Sayed Ramin Zaiwari, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Afghanistan to the World Trade Organization, met with Mr. Dinsko, Head of the International Road Transport Union (IRU) and exchanged views.
In this meeting, Mr. Dinsko, the head of the IRU organization, welcomed the Deputy Minister and his accompanying delegation to the center of the organization and provided information about the activities and programs of the International Road Transport Union and the implementation of the TIR system.
Mr. Bin Shah, in turn, thanked the head of the IRU organization for holding this meeting and their continued support for Afghanistan and stressed the importance of regional communication.
The Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce added, Afghanistan is deeply committed to fulfilling its trade and transit commitments and implementing the TIR system and will continue its efforts to connect regionally, and Afghanistan has made significant achievements in recent years in the field of road transport.
Moreover, Mr. Bin Shah, while raising some of the important barriers and challenges of trade transit that Afghanistan is facing, called for the support of this organization in various fields, including technical issues and capacity building, to remove these obstacles and challenges.
Concluding, the Head of the IRU organization, while emphasizing the continuation of the organization's cooperation with Afghanistan, promised to expand cooperation and comprehensive support.
