Holding a meeting of the Precious Stones Working Group on Business Improvement in Afghanistan

The meeting on the Precious Stones Sector of the Afghanistan Business Improvement Working Group was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce with the participation of the Ministries of Finance, Mines and Petroleum, representatives of the ACEBA Project, and the Precious Stones Sector.
In this meeting, the opportunities and challenges of industrial-mining and trade companies in precious stones, its processing and export, and the search for solutions were deliberated.
Industrial mining and trading companies of precious stones have shared their concerns in the fields of mine contracts, mining, processing, and export of precious stones with the MoIC leadership and asked for cooperation.
Business Improvement Group in Afghanistan based on goals; Facilitate the participation of enterprises in consultative meetings with government agencies to share challenges and suggestions, share information about the challenges and proposals of enterprises with policymakers, ensure coordination between the private sector, government agencies, the donor community, effectively address challenges and plan issues and solve private sector problems.
This group works on the carpet, saffron, precious and semi-precious stones, and decorative and cashmere stones sectors, so far, it has prepared and arranged 21 priority projects for the saffron and carpet sectors, 11 of which are ready to be implemented.
