Land Distribution for 19 Industrial-Production Companies

Memorandum of Understanding for the sale of 40 jeribs of land with 19 industrial-production companies in Bagh-e-Samawat industrial parks of Khost province, Herat industrial park, Shurandam industrial park of Kandahar province and Barikab industrial-agricultural park of Kabul province was signed today between the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and company owners.
Honored Mr. Abdul Karim Malikyar Acting Deputy Minister for Industry and Commerce of Ministry of Industry and Commerce, said at the signing ceremony; this Ministry is belonging to the private sector, particularly industrialists, and always strives to deliver the best services to the country's industrialists.
Mr. Malikyar also added, our industrialists are now working together to accelerate the process of economic and industrial growth of the country by investing in the country's industrial parks and provide employment opportunities for their compatriots.
In this ceremony, Mr. Sakhi Ahmad Paiyman, First Deputy of the Chamber of Industries and Mines, while appreciating the leadership activities of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, said; the Ministry has always strived to provide services to the country's industrialists and trade.
These 19 companies are committed to investing nearly $20 million in various sectors and providing employment to more than 1,000 people directly and thousands more indirectly.
It is worth mentioning that; 15 companies will receive land in Bagh-e-Samawat Industrial Park in Khost province, two companies in Herat Industrial Park, one company in Shurandam Industrial Park in Kandahar Province and one company in Kabul Barikab Industrial-Agricultural Park.
Land distribution is taking place in industrial parks, applicant companies can apply for land through the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Chambers of Commerce and Investment, Industries and Mines, Afghanistan Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Afghanistan International Chamber of Commerce and departments of these mentioned organizations in the provinces.
The requested documents were sent to the High Economic Council for further discussion and obtaining an opinion after reviewing the specialized land distribution committee, which consists of representatives of chambers, government institutions and a representative authorized by the applicant company. Trade and companies are signed.
