Minister of Industry and Commerce visits Omid Bahar fruit juice factory

Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, Minister of Industry and Commerce, visited the Omid Bahar Fruit and Dairy Production Factory and discussed the opportunities and challenges.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce was accompanied by Shirbaz Kaminzadah, General Director of the Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines, industrialists, and factory owners of Pul-e-Charkhi Industrial Park.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce, while appreciating the activities of this factory said, with the support of the president and the tariff support program of this ministry, the country's manufacturing industry is becoming self-sufficient in various sectors.
Mr. Ghoryani promised the officials of the Omid Bahar factory that tariffs on imported juices and similar dairy products would be increased to provide self-sufficiency.
Omid Bahar Factory is one of the largest fruit and dairy factories in the country, which started operating in 2009 with an investment of $ 45 million.
The factory has a production capacity of 525,000 liters of dairy products daily and has created jobs for more than 300 people.
