Presence of the Minister of Industry and Commerce in the meeting of the National Economic Commission of the Parliament

Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, Minister of Industry and Commerce attended the meeting of the National Economy Commission, discussed the increase of exports, problems in commercial ports, prevention of hoarding, and answered the questions of the members of the commission.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce emphasized that the closure of some commercial ports in Afghanistan is temporary and will be opened soon.
Mr. Ghoryani, also stressed that in the first five months of this year, we had a 21 percent increase in exports through transit routes, air corridors,, and railways outside Afghanistan.
On the other hand, the MoIC spoke regarding the market to prevent overselling and hoarding of raw materials and the activities of the Commission for Consumer Protection of the ministry in cooperation with the private sector which regularly monitors the market situation and deals legally with scammers, and hoarders.
The Minister of Industry and Commerce also told members of the National Economy Commission about the country's agricultural exports that he had directed the ministry's trade attaches to increase their efforts in marketing and increasing the country's agricultural exports.
In another part of his speech minister Ghoryani said, the ministry has planned to import 150 metric tons of wheat into the country two months ago to prevent famine, and next month the imports will begin.
The Minister of Industry and Ccmmerce also assured the members of the commission that the ministry is fully prepared to increase the export and import of raw materials needed by the people and that there will be no problem in raising prices.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Anwarulhaq Ahadi, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, and Deputy Minister of Economy, who answered questions from members of the National Economy Commission.
