July 3, 2021

According to statistics, the country's exports to the Kingdom of Jordan have increased from 2018 to 2020 and show a 70% increase.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce is trying to increase the level of trade between the two countries this year by holding an online meeting with the Jordan Ministry of Commerce.

The meeting, which was attended by Mr. Mohammad Sulaiman Binshah, Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, and Deputy Minister of Commerce of Jordan, emphasized the need to expand trade, investment, and traders' facilities.

The Kingdom of Jordan is Afghanistan's 14th largest export destination in the middle east and a good market for talc stone, coal, pine nut, cumin, watermelon seeds, and fresh fruit.

Afghanistan's exports have increased from $ 0.51 million to more than $ 1 million since 2018. The MoIC leadership is working to reach a trade agreement between the two countries and increase the export of domestic products to Jordan.

At this meeting, it was decided to establish a technical commission between the Ministries of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Kingdom of Jordan to begin practical work on signing a bilateral trade agreement between Afghanistan and Jordan.

Ministry of Industry and Commerce, by conducting feasibility studies on the Sohar commercial port of Oman, is trying to provide the necessary grounds for increasing the country's trade and exports to the Persian Gulf and the middle east countries.
