Uzbekistan-Afghanistan Joint Commission and Its Subcommittees Hold Second Meeting

The second meeting of the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan Joint Commission and its subcommittees was held via video conference between the delegation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, headed by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, honorable Mr. Mawlawi Ahmadullah Zahid, and the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, headed by the said country's Deputy Minister of Energy.
The meeting was attended by deputy ministers of Mines and Petroleum, Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, Finance, and representatives of the Ministries of Transport, Public Works, and Economy, as well as the General Directorate of Breshna (DABS), where discussions were held regarding trade economy, energy, mining and geology, transport, logistics, agriculture and customs sectors.
At the conclusion, Uzbekistan committed to provide IEA with laboratory machineries, capable of analyzing and identifying 20 soil types, and to train 200 specialists in agriculture sector. Both sides agreed to hold further meetings in this regard.
