Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Attends the Micro Finance Funding Support Conference

The Micro Finance Support Conference was held today with presence of IEA's Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, honorable Mr. Mula Abdul Ghani Baradar, The Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce honorable Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, General Director of Da Afghanistan Bank honorable Mr. Noor Agha, financial donors of national and international organizations, and the directors of such organizations.

The Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce honorable Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, during his speech in this conference, initially thanked the leadership of Central Bank of the country for holding such conference, and indicating his appreciation to the international community for their humanitarian donations, stated that IEA by having policies for economic growth via prioritization of supporting private sector which is the backbone of the country's economy.

Mr. Alhaj Azizi further, pointing the laws, regulations and corrective programs of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce enumerated the programs which has been considered in various levels for the supporting and providing further facilities to the private sector, as well as developing industry, creating jobs for all, developing national incomes, enhancement of exports, self-sufficiency of national industries, and overall supporting creation of comprehensive and dynamic private sector.

The Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, stressing on creation of vital foundations for growth of private sector, reaching the national and international markets, enhancement of exports, creating jobs for all, maintaining good trade ties with other countries, and utilizing the extractive industries, esteemed the conference, to be a best chance in order to find out the causes of bankruptcy and decreasing the activities of micro finance funding organizations in the past, as well as the lessons learned for better and more effective implementation of new programs.

At the conclusion, the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce honorable Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, stated, that despite the challenges there is still big chances for economic growth and enhancing living standards of the people and urged the donors to utilize it in best way.
