Bilateral Customs Cooperation Agreement signed between Afghanistan and Pakistan

The bilateral customs cooperation agreement between the Afghanistan Customs and the Pakistan Customs Board was signed with the presence of Respected Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani, Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce and representatives of the Afghan private sector to improve customs relations between the two countries in Islamabad, Pakistan.
At the signing ceremony, Mr. Nisar Ahmad Ghoryani shared 21 issues of Afghan traders, most of which are related to Pakistan's customs, with the leadership of the customs board and asked for their cooperation in solving these problems.
Investigation and scanning of 100% of Afghan merchants' property physically and electronically, lack of (WeBOC) system for goods clearance in Karachi, Ghulam Khan and Angor Adah ports, partial clearance at Torkham crossing, customs value and delayed payment refund, unit Money (customs product), sabotage and delays in the execution of documents at the Karachi crossing are some of the 21 issues that Respected Mr. Ghoryani raised with the Pakistan Customs Board.
The leadership of the Pakistan Customs Board, promised the Afghanistan government and private sector to strive in resolving these problems and works to improve customs relations between the two countries.
According to this agreement, cooperation between Afghanistan and Pakistan customs in the fields of sending cargo information before reaching the destination customs, exchange of figures and customs information, exchange of experiences of both parties to improve customs cooperation and capacity building will begin soon.
