Holding the meeting of the National Transit Committee

The meeting of the National Transit Committee chaired by Mr. Mohammad Sulaiman Binshah, Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, was held in the conference hall, with the participation of representatives of government institutions and the private sector.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Binshah said, Afghanistan is an intersection for transit in the region, and standardizing transit and providing the necessary facilities for the country's business requires a comprehensive national policy, which has already been prepared and arranged.
Mr. Binshah added, Afghanistan's national transit policy has been prepared per international transit standards and the responsibilities of the government institutions.
National Transit Policy based on objectives (Improving Afghanistan's position in the classification of various global economic indicators related to transit and trade, access of Afghan traders to potential international markets, facilitating/creating alternative transit and transportation routes for transporting goods, and providing necessary facilities at ports and customs has been prepared and arranged by the MoIC.
Moreover, government institutions, members of the national transit committee, explained the responsibilities and obligations in terms of infrastructure works to provide facilities to the country's transit and trade.
