Ministries of Commerce and Agriculture sign a memorandum of cooperation on production, processing and marketing of agricultural Products

The Ministries of Industry & Commerce and Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock signed a memorandum of understanding to increase production, improve processing and marketing of agricultural products.
The memorandum was signed on August 12, by Honored Mr. Abdul Karim Malikyar Acting Deputy Minister for Industry and Commerce, and Hashmatullah Ghafouri, Acting Minister of Agriculture and Deputy Minister of Irrigation and Natural Resources.
According to the memorandum, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce will cooperate with the Ministry of Agriculture on how to produce and process agricultural products, as well as marketing them. The main purpose of signing this memorandum is to standardize the production and processing of agricultural products based on global market demands. Conferring to the memorandum, the MoIC, through its Attaches offices, will study the needs of the foreign markets, and based on these studies, the Ministry of Agriculture will produce approved agricultural products in accordance with the standards of the world markets.
The MoU, which emphases on the production, processing and marketing sectors, The MoIC jointly will work with the Ministry of Agriculture in accordance with the needs of the markets and global demands to the use of various types of chemical and non-chemical substances to standardize agricultural products during crop production. Conferring to this memorandum, what should be the manufactured products, by what criteria and what principles should be considered in the farm for the global market demands to accept our products. Which chemicals should not be used so as not to be returned. What materials should be used on the farm to standardize cultivation and our products to be accepted later in laboratory tests in foreign markets.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce works jointly with the Ministry of Agriculture in the field of production.
Certain institutions in both ministries are required to closely monitor the implementation of this MoU.
