Providing facilities to increase the export of Ferula asafetida plant to India

The first online consultative meeting on addressing the problems and providing the necessary facilities for the process of exporting the Afghan Ferula asafetida plant to India by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce with the participation of representatives of the Embassy of the IR of Afghanistan in India, Norms and Standards Office and the Afghan private sector was held.
In this meeting, while examining the opportunities and challenges in the process of exporting the Afghan Ferula asafetida plant to India, it was decided; The action plan, taking into account its specific timeline, a coordination meeting with the FSAI Office of India, and facilitation of the mentioned certification by the Afghanistan Standards Office with the support and coordination of other relevant departments should be done.
India is one of the biggest demanders for the country's Ferula asafetida plant in the region, and India has recently set several criteria for the Afghan Ferula asafetida plant exports, including the issuance of the certificate of analysis, certification, and compliance with the ISO 17025 standard, which should facilitate exporters on the Afghan side over the next 6 months.
