Signing of 4 memorandums of cooperation between the Ministries of Industry and Commerce, Finance, Interior and National Statistic and Information Authority

Four Memorandums of Understanding were signed between the Ministries of Industry and Commerce, Finance and Interior and the National Statistics and Information Authority at the Government Media Information Center between the officials of these institutions and the Senior Advisor to the First Vice President to connect electronic information systems.
The main objectives of these MoU’s are:
- to accelerate the process of distribution, renewal and cancellation of business passports;
- non-distribution of multiple tax identification numbers (TIN);
- to prevent tax evasion;
- and increase cooperation between public sector institutions to provide the necessary facilities to the private sector.
In this program, two memorandums of cooperation between the General Directorate of Central Business Registry and Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the National Statistics and Information Authority and the General Directorate of Passports of the Ministry of Interior in order to provide the necessary facilities to the private sector in obtaining licenses, electronic IDs and commercial passports were signed.
Moreover, two other memorandums of cooperation were signed between the Deputy Minister of Revenue and Customs of the Ministry of Finance and the National Statistics and Information Authority and the General Directorate of Passports of the Ministry of Interior in order to pave the way for obtaining a business passport and prevent the distribution of tax identification numbers.
These memorandums are valid for 3-5 years and the implementation process is monitored by the Afghanistan Chambers Federation.
