The Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Meets with Directors of Major Pharmaceutical Companies

Date: 7 September 2024

The Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, honorable Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi met with the esteemed directors of major pharmaceutical production companies of Islamic Republic of Iran, today after noon in his office.

In this meeting, the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, discussed with the directors of the said pharmaceutical companies the importation of high quality medicines and preventing smuggling of counterfeit and low quality medicines. The mentioned directors expressed their willingness to open branches of their companies and to produce chemical raw materials inside Afghanistan.

Mr. Alhaj Azizi stressing on quality and reasonable pricing of imported medicines, welcomed and supported their initiatives, adding that there are no restrictions on the import of high quality medicines from any country to Afghanistan, and he encouraged them to invest in Afghanistan.
