The Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Visits the Most Modern and Historic State Printing Press of Turkey

The IEA's Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, honorable Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, along with his accompanying delegation, during their visit to Turkey, paid a visit to the most modern and historic state printing press of the Republic of Turkey, appreciating its historical significance.
The state printing press, also known as "Darbkhana" in Turkey, has a history of about 557 years. It is among the 50 renowned printing presses worldwide, which provide many countries with services such as; minting coins and printing passports and identification documents.
The printing press, currently equipped with modern apparatuses and cutting-edge technology, handles the printing of all significant papers and official documents of Turkey. It also mints popular coins commemorating Turkey's historic events. During the Ottoman era, the press was responsible for printing official seals and minting gold coins.
In the end of the visit, the officials of the printing press presented a coin minted in honor of Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi to honorable Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi and the head of Afghanistan Consulate in Turkey.
