Afghan and Turkish Traders Hold Business Session

A business session between Afghan and Turkish traders was held whereas, the IEA's Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce honorable Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, and the Deputy Trade Minister and Advisor to the president of Turkey were present. The session was organized by the Association of Entrepreneurs Economic and Business Ethics and attended by the representatives of several Turkish associations.
A number of 70 Afghani and 60 Turkish companies active in various sectors such as; mining materials, construction, medical, pharmaceuticals, food, and clothing, attended the session. The speakers of the said gathering, talked regarding the historical ties, significance of the trade between two counties and resolving transit and transportation issues, stated their support to the enhancement of trade between the two countries. The Turkish side stated that they are ready to collaborate with Afghanistan and any other country to operationalize the Lapis lazuli way.
Furthermore, representing the investment opportunities in Afghanistan, the Turkish traders were encouraged to invest and hold exhibition of their products in Afghanistan.
In addition, the Turkish traders indicated their interest to invest in Afghanistan in sectors like; agriculture, mining, energy, Islamic banking, and business legal affairs. The establishment of a joint friendship chamber of two countries, and establishing an expo center as well as keeping up such programs were suggested in the session.
The delegation of the country indicated their gratitude and support to the willingness of Turkish traders to invest and perform activities in Afghanistan, as well as all their suggestions.
In the end of the meeting, Marsoos International Trading Company and Maisam Steel Melting Factory agreed to establish a joint factory in Afghanistan.
