Afghanistan and Uzbekistan Hold Business Session

The business session between Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and Republic of Uzbekistan, held in presence of acting Minister of Industry and Commerce of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, honorable, Mr. Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, and, the Minister of Investment, Industry & Trade of Republic of Uzbekistan, honorable, Mr. Laziz Kudratov.
The meeting was attended by the acting ministers of the ministries of Mines & Petroleum, Agriculture, Irrigation & Livestock, and Energy & Water of Afghanistan; and the representatives of private sector of both countries. During the meeting Mr. Alhaj Azizi, initially thanked the hospitality of Republic of Uzbekistan, during the visit of the delegation of the Islamic Emirate headed by him consist of private sector to the said country, then emphasizing on initiation of practical works and permanence of meetings of the delegations for both countries, he deemed such visits of the authorities of both countries significant and essential for consolidation and enhancement of trade and business of both countries.
The acting Minister of Industry and commerce of I.E.A at the meantime talked regarding a various matters such as, ongoing Exhibition of products of Republic of Uzbekistan in Kabul, trilateral meeting of Afghanistan-Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan, preferred tariff on a specific number of exported goods of both countries, operation Hairatan port to be functioning 24/7, solving transportation issues, investment in mining sector of Afghanistan, creation of joint chamber of commerce in territory of both countries, holding trilateral sessions of both countries with Iran, Pakistan and Kazakhstan countries, and other significant matters. He also assured that at earliest time the agreements and decisions made, to be implemented by both countries.
Then Minister of Investment, Industry & Trade of Republic of Uzbekistan, honorable, Mr. Laziz Kudratov, provided information regarding the agreements made between his country and Afghanistan, as well as the activities fulfilled by both countries.
